British Airways wanted to help connect people at Christmas with an experience that went beyond their flights.
Insight
We can’t wait to have our loved ones home for Christmas. We plaster it on welcome signs, spell it in balloons, all to make that welcome moment as special as possible.
Solution
We gave Brits at airports across the country a way to make their welcome signs as large as their love, with Big Little Welcomes, a campaign which allowed travellers to submit a handwritten welcome message for a friend or family member arriving for Christmas, which we displayed on enormous media in and around our biggest airports as each of their flights came into land.
701 welcomes were submitted from up and down the country and even abroad. We connected the flight times to the media sites, so that each of the messages was displayed right as the recipient came into land.
